Young people offered financial help in celebrity masterclasses
Abbey is offering 16 to 18 year-olds places on a celebrity master class to help them start out on their chosen career as well as to make the most of their first pay packets.
The classes will be run with mentors such as Wasps and England rugby star Danny Cipriani. Podcasts and online tips will also be offered.
Anyone with an Abbey 16-18 or student bank account is eligible to apply for one of the places.
Danny Cipriani explained why he is taking part in the programme: "When I was young, I knew I wanted to play rugby and my mum was my biggest mentor and supporter. Whatever career path people take, it is important to know what options are available."
HSBC has also recently launched an account for 17-year-olds which offers a credit card when students turn 18. The early bird account allows students to sort out their finances before they go to university.
