Warwick cardholders urged 'be vigilant'
Credit card holders in Warwick have been urged to be on their guard following the discovery of a suspected fraud device on a cash machine.
The Coventry Telegraph reports the card-cloning application was noticed by a member of staff at the Heart of England Co-op Society last weekend (March 28th).
It was subsequently reported to police who have warned customers who used the machine recently to check their credit card statements carefully for any signs of fraudulent activity in their account.
If present, cardholders are advised to contact the police, as well as getting in touch with their bank.
Detectives are currently trying to find clues to the perpetrator by studying CCTV footage of the area around the tampered-with ATM.
In related news, the government announced last month that it is setting up a three-year National Fraud Strategy to try and curb crimes of this nature.
