Use a credit card to beat overseas postal deadlines this Christmas
Britons concerned that it is already to too late to send Christmas presents to loved ones across the world can still do so if they have a credit card, it has been revealed.
Emma Simon, writing for the Telegraph, said that the postal deadline has already passed for UK consumers looking to send Christmas gifts to friends and family in Australia, the Far East and South America.
However, UK credit card holders can still ensure their package arrives in these regions before Christmas if they order the goods from foreign websites.
She said: "If you've missed postal dates you can order items from some overseas websites and pay using a UK-based credit card. This also means you'll pay local delivery rates."
Britons looking to send items to the US or Canada by airmail need to do so by December 9th, while the postal deadline to mainland Europe is December 12th.
