Third of Brits leave Christmas shopping to last minute
A third of Britons leave their Christmas shopping to the last week before the big day, according to new research.
Insurance provider Axa Wealth has published the results of a survey which shows that , while 12 per cent leave it until the last few days.
Men are more likely to enjoy a last minute Christmas trip, with almost a fifth (17 per cent) leaving their shopping to just a few days before 25th December.
Meanwhile, female shoppers are generally better prepared with 23 per cent revealing that they typically shop several months in advance.
Mike Morrison, head of pensions at AXA Wealth, said: "It is interesting to see that consumers are happy to leave their Christmas shopping as late as they do, but perhaps not surprising that more men admit to leaving it even later than women."
Despite many leaving their shopping to the last-minute, AXA Wealth Self survey also showed that nearly two in three (64 per cent) Britons feel 'quite uneasy' or 'very nervous' at the prospect of taking a risk.
