Tesco credit card offers currency advantages
Holders of Tesco credit cards who are going on holiday could benefit from a reward scheme.
Those who buy foreign currencies on their Tesco credit card will receive Clubcard points, the retailer has said.
Customers will receive 25 Clubcard Points for purchases in store only for every £250 of currency bought. A cash advance will not be charged either.
Tesco will also buy back any unused foreign currency and travellers' cheques commission free, no matter where they were bought.
Consumers are advised not to leave currency exchange until the last minute, as rates for exchanging money in airports or ports is often much more expensive than on the high street, Tesco warned.
In other news for holidaymakers, Abbey has recently launched a credit card called Zero which offers fee-free currency exchange.
Roger Lovering, managing director of Abbey Credit Cards, said: "Offering an introductory balance transfer rate of 0% for 12 months, 0% on purchases for three months and no fee for cash advances, Zero really is the ultimate all-rounder."
