Tesco Clubcard credit card holders will not have to pay a cash advance fee if they use their cards to buy holiday money and will also receive Clubcard points, according to the credit card provider.
This is just one of the ways the credit card provider has suggested consumers can save saving money on holiday spending abroad.
According to Tesco Travel Money research, a third of families have taken last minute holidays in the past three years and the trend is likely to continue.
The study revealed that 36% of those who have not yet booked a trip say their decision whether or not to take a holiday will depend on their finances and whether they can get a good bargain.
One in five families reported that their holiday plans have been affected by swine flu; either because they are waiting to see how the illness spreads before booking or because flu fears have already affected their plans.
A Tesco Travel Money spokesperson advised: "Getting a good rate on your foreign currency can make your holiday money stretch a lot further, and ensure you don't lose out on any savings you might have made by picking up a cheap break."
The Tesco Clubcard credit card offers users clubcard points on all purchases with a typical rate of 16.9% APR variable.
There is 0% interest on all purchases for the first twelve months from the date on which the account is opened.
