A total of one in ten boys make "illicit purchases" on the internet using their parents' credit cards, it has been suggested.
Michael Lynch, fraud expert at life assistance firm CPP, stated in recent days that of the youngsters between the ages of eight and 16 who commit fraud, those who are 15 are the worst offenders.
He noted purchases made by kids included gadgets, fashion accessories and computer games.

"Parents need to supervise their children wherever they can," Mr Lynch concluded.
