People who live in Hereford are at least risk of becoming victims of credit card fraud, according to a new study.

Published by credit reference agency Callcredit, the research shows that areas including Dorchester, Worcester, Belfast and Exeter are also low-risk in terms of such criminal activity.
Meanwhile, east London was identified as the region most at risk of identity theft, followed by the south-east and north of the capital, as well as Uxbridge.
The firm offers credit card customers a number of hints and tips on how to protect their identity, including always examining statements, regularly checking credit reports and keeping passwords and pin codes safe.
Owen Roberts, head of www.callcreditcheck.com, comments: "A sound financial standing is especially important during a recession and falling victim to identity fraud can damage your credit rating for a long time.
"It can be a time-consuming experience but by taking precautions now may save you from months of trying to reclaim control of your own name."
Recent research released by Callcredit revealed that 55 per cent of the UK adult population plan to reduce their spending this Christmas.
