The 35-year-old blonde told the Telegraph that paying by plastic is extremely useful in her profession as she often has to travel.

Consequently she has signed up for a Visa credit card with First Direct and a MasterCard with Virgin, which she uses mainly for booking airfares.

She adds: "I have a Barclaycard as well, which I keep just in case because it's become more difficult to get hold of credit cards in the first place."

However, the dancer insists using cash is still her preferred way of paying for purchases in shops as it often stops her over-spending.

"It's painful to watch it go," she explained to the newspaper.

In related news, actor Danny Dyer also recently expounded the benefits of credit cards for travel, telling the Telegraph he always holidays with plastic to complement "a nice big wedge" of cash and ensure he's never stuck without money.
