Spending is driving economic recovery
An increase in consumer spending is helping to lead an economic recovery.
People are getting tired of having to stretch their money and it seems that many are just opting to throw caution to the wind and spend instead. Figures suggest this method is a good one for the economy, with consumer spending driving a recovery.
The Office for National Statistics kept its growth predictions for the UK at 0.8 per cent. At the same time, consumer spending rose by 0.8 per cent which is the highest seen since the second quarter of 2010.
Yet upping spend does not have to mean getting into debt. Selecting a credit card carefully can help to make your money go further, particularly if you choose one with a cash back or loyalty points feature.
Make sure you keep an eye on the balance transfer and interest rates too, however, just in case you find a month where you can't get your payments in on time.
