The Santander Zero credit card won a top European award at a ceremony in Paris this week (December 16th).
The Oscards are awarded in recognition of excellence within the credit card industry.
Santander's Zero credit card won first prize in the service category of the European industry award, which has been running for four years.
Just 64 cards across five categories made the shortlist, out of an initial list of 500 cards.
Director of Santander cards, Emma Roberts, said she was delighted the Zero card has received this accolade.
"We have proved that a simple fee free card really can offer users the high level of service they demand whilst still maintaining the features and quality they expect," she said.
The Santander Zero credit card has a typical variable rate of 18.9% APR.
It has no foreign exchange fee and offers 12 months free balance transfers from the date on which the account is opened, with a 3% fee.
