Sainsbury's offers new Nectar credit card
The new Nectar credit card from Sainsbury's has been designed with a broad audience in mind.
Retail chain Sainsbury's has announced a new credit card which comes with a variety of extras that could make it a popular deal.
According Emma Wall, writer for the Telegraph, the company is attempting to please a wide number of people with the new product, offering loyalty points and zero per cent interest on both balance transfers and purchases.
Interest on balance transfers will not be charged for 15 months, while customers can enjoy six months of interest-free purchases on the credit card and get double the normal amount of Nectar points for shopping at Sainsbury's.
"Unlike some of its more specialist rivals, the Nectar credit card is attempting to be the everyman card – offering loyalty points, zero per cent on balance transfers and zero per cent on purchases," Ms Wall said.
Spanish bank Santander recently launched the new 123 Cashback Credit Card, which will offer users rewards on a monthly basis, the first card to do so on such a regular basis.
