Sainsbury's Finance: Reward credit cards could be a good option
Those looking for a credit card should consider a rewards credit card, Sainsbury's Finance has suggested.
The credit card provider added there were cards on the market offering great reward deals, although there are fewer offering cash back these days.
Sainsbury's Finance offered the advice after carrying out a study that revealed only 13 out of 224 credit cards available in the UK offer non- introductory cash back on spending.
This is in contrast to 43 in 2005.
Head of Sainsbury's credit cards Stuart McKeggie said: "The number of credit cards offering cash back has fallen, but there are cards out there offering great reward alternatives."
Mr McKeggie suggested the Sainsbury's credit card could be a good option for those who shop at the store as they can earn the equivalent of 2% cash back.
This is above the average cash back rate of 0.52%, he noted.
Another reward credit card option is the AA credit card, which allows users to save money on fuel.
