The 0% introductory period has been extended on the Sainsbury's credit card from three to ten months, the credit card provider has reported.

The 0% introductory period has been extended on the Sainsbury's credit card from three to ten months, the credit card provider has reported.
Holders of the Sainsbury's credit card will receive a typical APR of 15.9%, down from 16.9%.
The news comes as Sainsbury's Finance revealed credit card firms have cut the number of 0% deals by one fifth in the past year.
The average credit card rate is now reportedly 18%, the research also showed.
Stuart McKeggie, head of Sainsbury's credit cards said: "By increasing the 0% period on our card and decreasing the typical APR, we are bucking the trend and hopefully offering borrowers a bit of respite in what is still a tough economic climate for many people."
The credit card has no annual fee and offers fraud protection at home, abroad and online.
There is also 0% APR for ten months on balance transfers, subject to a 3% fee.
Tesco is also currently offering a credit card called the Clubcard credit card, with the same offer on balance transfers.
The typical rate on the card is 16.9% APR variable and there is 0% interest on all purchases.
