Rewards & Cashback credit card tips offered

Consumers have been offered a number of hints and tips on how maximise their returns from rewards & cashback credit cards.

The Associated Press suggests they pay close attention to any information from the bank which issued the credit card.

It explains this will allow them to be aware if any rules on redemptions of points, rewards and other benefits have altered.

Should such changes be a concern to customers, the news agency suggests it could be wise for people to redeem any points accrued on credit cards sooner rather than later, avoiding accumulating them for a specific item.

The organisation also states using rewards as credit for an account - should the option be available - can provides a method by which to deal with merchandise seen as overpriced.

Meanwhile, Joe McShane, a debt expert at Citizen's Advice Bureau Cymru, recently told Wales on Sunday that people with store credit cards should ensure they can pay off their debts in a timely manner as they can charge a high rate of interest.
