Football fans in Sunderland have been reminded that they do not have long left to take advantage of an interest-free credit offer on their season tickets.

Fans investing in a season-long pass are being encouraged by the football club to purchase it with the SAFC credit card, which will give them 0% interest until February 2010 on the purchase.

However, supporters will have to get their applications in quickly to take advantage of the offer, as all season ticket purchases must be made by 30th July to take advantage of the offer, while credit card applications take 28 days to process.

The credit card will also offer consumers a 0% balance transfer rate within 60 days of the account becoming operational until November 2009, with a 2% handling fee charge.

Dedicated football fans may also appreciate a promise from the card issuer that it will make contributions to Sunderland FC at no cost to card holders.

Sunderland football club narrowly avoided relegation in the 2008-09 season, finishing 16th with 36 points, two points clear of the drop into the Championship.
