A Saga Platinum credit card could help consumers save significant sums over the festive period, according to the company.
The firm states the card offers a good deal to people whether they borrow on the card or pay their bill fully each month.
Unlike some other credit cards, repayments are ordered fairly, meaning that after fees and interest, the most expensive debt is cleared first, it adds.
In addition, the card also features no foreign currency charges for transactions in Visa Europe - which includes France, Italy, Monaco, Norway, Turkey, Finland, Spain, Hungary and the Netherlands - which could give those who enjoy visiting traditional Christmas markets on the continent something to smile about.
Andrew Goodsell, chief executive of Saga Group, comments: "Consumers need reassurance this year and we are proud to offer a credit card which gives people the confidence that their payments will be managed fairly."
Saga states the card is designed to give "peace of mind, as well as financial freedom".
