Over 40% of the respondents to an Ingenico survey would make credit card or bank payments via a mobile phone, it has been revealed.

Some 1,000 people were asked for their opinion in the survey by the terminal supplier, reports Near Field Communications World.
A total of 41% said they would definitely use or consider using their handset to make payments, with the top reason for this being convenience.
The need to carry less cash and cards around was also cited as a reason why some consumers would choose to use their mobile.
Increased security was named as an advantage of this technology by 8% and those who gave their views in the poll said they would be happy to use handset for payments around the £30 mark.
"Consumers' desire for speed and convenience at the point of sale is likely to drive contactless card and phone payment technologies," the researchers were quoted as saying.
Commuters in London already use a type of payment that requires no payment - the Oyster card.
