Orange and Barclaycard have joined up to launch a new rewards credit card which offers the equivalent of 1% cashback and has a 0% balance transfer rate.
The Orange Credit Card also uses contactless technology, so customers can pay for items of up to £10 without entering a PIN.
More than 20,000 retailers have contactless pay points in store, and Visa research reveals more than 5 million such credit cards are already being used.
The 0% balance transfer on the Orange credit card lasts for nine months, and under the rewards and cashback deal, the spender receives one reward point for every £1 spent.
Points can be exchanged for tickets to special events, high street vouchers and discounts on Orange mobile phone purchases.
The money can also be donated to charities such as Guide dogs for the blind and UNICEF.
The credit card launch is the next step in the Orange-Barclaycard collaboration, following last year's announcement the two companies would be bringing out contactless mobile phone technology, which could be swiped like a credit card.
