Credit card users who use online banking could be interested in suggestions from an information security consulting firm that web users should take precautions to protect themselves from online viruses.

Alan Phillips, chief executive of 7Safe, said web users should avoid suspicious websites and communications in order to avoid damage from undetectable malware.
Mr Phillips commented that following a seemingly harmless looking link can be all it takes to inflict damage from malware.
He also suggested web users should assume there are viruses and Trojans online that are not yet detected by anti-virus software.
A report by Websense gas recently shown there has been a 233% increase in the number of malicious sites in the past six months.
This is a 671% growth over the last year.
"As long as there is financial gain to be made, these methods will exist and as they evolve, the more sophisticated they become," Mr Phillips noted.
