MBNA has launched a new credit card tailored specifically for sole traders and small businesses.
The 0% purchases credit card for one year was unveiled earlier this week (April 15th) and comes with free purchase protection and employee misuse insurance, subject to terms and conditions.
In addition, cardholders can benefit from a standard rate of interest for purchases of 15.9% APR (typical) variable and no annual fee.
The offer is available to internet customer only, however, with further details provided on MBNA's website.
Allison Moulton, head of business lending for the provider, said: "We recognise the importance of small businesses and sole traders to the economy and in these uncertain times, with other credit facilities being in short supply, this new card aims to help [them] manage their cash flow."
In other business card news, it was revealed earlier this week that MasterCard has teamed up with foreign exchange specialist Travelex to introduce a Corporate Cash Passport for business travellers, which can be pre-loaded and tracked abroad.
