American Express has announced the launch of the United Mileage Plus American Express Credit Card.

The new payment solution offers a number of benefits, including one which could be of interest to those who travel extensively.
Customers whose applications are received before April 30th will be able to enjoy two miles for every £1 spent on purchases when they make use of the account for the first six months after it is opened.
Following this period, cardholders will earn one mile for every £1 spent on transactions using the credit card.
Graham Atkinson, the president of Mileage Plus, said: "The United Airlines Mileage Plus credit card is the card of choice for many of our members in the UK - and we are pleased to partner with MBNA and American Express to continue offering them another way to earn miles."
American Express's other cards include the Platinum, Blue Sky and Nectar credit cards.
