Existing Nationwide credit card holders will be entered into the draw to win the tickets if they make at least nine Nationwide Visa credit card transactions between now and the end of the year.
The lucky credit card holder who wins the prize will be flying off to South Africa with free flights, four nights' accommodation, hospitality and events tickets for two matches.
The tickets are allocated by Visa Europe Services for the preliminary group matches and the credit card provider states that every effort will be made to book an England game.
Chris Rhodes, Nationwide product and marketing director, said: "By running this promotion in the busy Christmas shopping period when people are most likely to be using their credit cards, we are offering existing card holders the chance to win the trip of a lifetime to see two group matches at the 2010 Fifa World Cup."
Visitors to South Africa during the World Cup may also be able to see the work of South African artist Daniel Popper, who is to install enormous puppets in Cape Town.
