M&S credit card holders to benefit from savings account offer

The Everyday account is M&S Money's first easy access saver, which offers safe saving for all customers.

Everyday accounts can be opened by phone or post from today, with a minimum deposit of £1.

Customers will then be able to put money into their account by debit card, Bacs transfer, standing order, cheques or in store.

The account offers a variable interest rate of 1.56% AER, which includes a 1% bonus for 12 months from the date the account is opened, reverting to 0.56% AER (Gross 0.55%). Interest rates are variable, are calculated daily and paid into the account monthly.

Colin Kersley, M&S Money chief executive, said: "The Everyday Savings Account gives M&S customers an easy way to save for everyday things, whether it's a well earned holiday or home improvements."

M&S Money has also launched a new Premium club, offering triple loyalty points on the M&S credit card to members for all shopping at M&S, in store and online. Membership costs £10 a month and is exclusive to M&S credit card holders.
