According to credit card provider M&S Money, credit card holders could be entitled to up to 55 days interest-free credit and no cash advance fee if they pay for travel money in this way.
The credit card has a typical variable rate of 15.9% APR variable, subject to status.
Cards are available to UK residents aged 18 and over only.
There are also other ways to pay for currency exchange that could leave holidaymakers with more money to spend on their vacation.
The Caxton FX prepaid currency card, for example, offers a very competitive exchange rate, which can be locked at any point.
It works in much the same way as a traditional credit card, except money must be preloaded on to the Caxton FX card before it can be used for payments.
Using the card can cut out some of the hassle of looking for a bureau de change on holiday as card holders can simply phone up to add money to their prepaid currency card.
