Mexican currency refund offered at M&S
M&S Money is offering a full currency refund on Mexican currency following the outbreak in swine flu.
Unused Mexican Pesos or US Dollars can be taken by M&S travel money customers into any M&S bureau de change and changed into sterling.
The measure comes as the Foreign Office warned today against all except essential travel to Mexico because of the threat of swine flu.
M&S Travel Money manager James Yerkess said: "By offering to refund the foreign currency in full at the same rate to which they bought it, we are hopefully taking away some of the disappointment caused to M&S customers."
Refunds will be available until close of business on May 8th. Customers must provide proof of intended travel to Mexico and foreign currency purchase from M&S in order to be eligible.
The offer is also open to those who purchased currency from M&S via the internet or over the telephone.
There are five confirmed cases of swine flu in the UK. In Mexico there are 159 suspected deaths from the illness.
