Marriott Rewards has launched a new credit card that gives customers the chance to earn free breaks at Marriott International hotels.

The new World MasterCard credit card from Marriott Rewards, the loyalty division of global hotel company Marriott International, offers holders the chance to earn points on all purchases and zero per cent on balance transfers for 12 months.

Customers earn two Marriott Rewards points for every £1 spent at any Marriott International hotel and one point for every £1 spent elsewhere.

These points can then be redeemed for free nights at Marriott hotels, leisure breaks, airline miles, merchandise and upgrades.

The card, which has a representative APR of 16.9 per cent variable, has been launched in partnership with Creation, part of Laser UK, and MasterCard.

"We are excited to offer our UK Marriott Rewards members a credit card that allows them to earn points faster," said Ed French, senior vice president of Marriott Rewards.

"We know our members look for a card that will provide them with the greatest value and the Marriott Rewards MasterCard from Laser UK is designed specifically for them."
