Lloyds TSB tops Christmas credit card website ranking

Lloyds TSB has taken the top spot on a ranking of the best credit card websites, it has announced.

Lloyds TSB has taken the top spot on a ranking of the best credit card websites, it has announced.

Global Reviews' Comparing the Credit Card Sites benchmark examined consumers' experiences on six different credit card websites, which were assessed against more than 680 criteria.

These included information available to prospective buyers, application forms, customer support and general site usability.

It was found that HSBC and Halifax offer the best site navigation, receiving scores of 71 per cent and 74 per cent respectively, Lloyds TSB offers the best online customer support, with a score of 80 per cent.

With an overall score of 60 per cent, Lloyds TSB - came in first, followed by HSBC and Barclaycard.

Bertie Stevenson, director as Global Reviews, said:"The vast majority of consumers depend on websites to research their options. Credit card companies are missing a trick if they do not provide their customers with the best possible online experience."

Lloyds TSB credit cards include the Airmiles Duo card.
