Credit card provider HSBC is offering international students an account with fully functioning Visa debit card, without the need for a great deal of documentation.
The account called HSBC Passport will help people moving to the UK to open a bank account quickly and easily.
The credit card provider believes it can be difficult opening an account when moving to the UK because documents such as proof of residential address and utility bills are often required.
People do not always have access to these as soon as they have moved to the country.
However, the Passport account allows people to have access to their money without the need for a permanent address or established credit history in the UK.
Passport account holers can also access to HSBC regular saver account, which offers an interest rate of 8% AER, fixed for 12 months.
HSBC is also currently offering existing current account customers a credit card with 0% for 15 months on balances transferred within 30 days of opening the account.
A 2.9% balance transfer fee apples (minimum £5).
There is no fee to pay on the card and the rate is 16.9% APR typical variable after the introductory period.
