Halifax, Santander and HSBC 'offer credit card deals to current account customers'

Several credit card deals are only available to those with current accounts at certain banks, as these financial institutions look to cater to their existing customers.

Halifax is one of the latest banks to offer an additional three months at 0% on purchases to their current account holders.

Santander also announced this week that current account customers using a debit or credit card to take out money from an ATM machine in Spain would not have to pay a fee.

Last year, HSBC stated only HSBC current account customers will be able to obtain a credit card from the bank.

Those looking for a new credit card this year may want to factor in this new trend when making their choice.
