Credit card provider Egg has reassured cardholders that none of its most popular card features will be disappearing in the near future.
Credit card provider Egg has reassured cardholders that none of its most popular card features will be disappearing in the near future.
The promise follows news the internet-based bank is scrapping credit interest from May 15th for Egg Money's MasterCard customers.
However, a spokeswoman for the firm insists the change will affect very few people
Eggs claims only a small number of customers currently over-pay their credit card bills to take advantage of the 4% return on their balance.
The spokeswomen told the Guardian: "Few Egg Money cardholders keep a meaningful positive balance on their card and most chose the card because of cashback, which they will continue to receive, plus the additional [provision of] insurances."
Egg is currently offering 0% balance transfers until June 2010 on its website.
Those wishing to take advantage of the offer are advised a 3% fee applies and all applications must be made before July 1st.
