Anna prefers to pay by Mastercard and Darren pays the balance off every month by direct debit, he told the Daily Telegraph.

Darren Gough explained that Anna was the only person he would trust with his money, which she is particularly good at since she used to work in a bank.

Now that he has got more money, the sports star is no more happy though, he reveals. "You live within your means no matter what lifestyle you've got and expenses expand to fit your income," he said.

His greatest expenditure is his children's school fees which take up a large part of his earnings. It costs him a total of £66,000 a year.
