The star of City Rats says of course he has a credit card on vacation, and he likes to take loads of cash as well.

He told the Daily Telegraph: "I like to buy people things, especially my kids. Going away with kids, you know they're going to be into you for ice cream, drinks, the lot."

Credit card holders can keep their money safe on holiday by following a few simple measures, senior vice president at Visa Europe Fiona Wilkinson said earlier this week.

She advised that holiday makers should never write down their Pin, and should try to keep different cards in separate places so they don't lose everything if something goes wrong.

Danny Dyer told the Daily Telegraph that the best hotel he has ever stayed in was the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi where he had a suite with his own butler. The grounds were so large you needed a golf buggy to get round them, he said.
