CellCharge will give users the ability to complete transactions anywhere from a flea market to a trade show.
The company suggests that the technology is particularly useful for small and home-based businesses as they can be paid straight away without having to chase customers for invoices.
There are no hidden fees with the new technology, even if the phone's battery dies during a transaction.
CellCharge is a company which specialises in setting up merchant accounts to accept credit cards by phone.
In the UK, new technology is also revolutionising credit card payment systems. Barclaycard is offering new contactless technology in stores throughout the UK. The new system allows people with contactless credit cards to pay for items with a value of under £10 without having to enter their pin number.
Managing director of UK cards at Barclaycard, Amer Sajed, said: "In three years we will have an additional four million customers who will be able to make payments using their contactless card."
