Co-operative Bank offers an account called Community Directplus to community groups, with the added bonus of offering additional financial support to their projects.
Projects to benefit from funding include a school's garden project, investment in computer equipment to help an isolated community and a parent and toddler group.
Community Directplus customers receive bi-annual donations from the Customer Donation Fund.
John Barker, head of business banking at the Co-operative Bank, said: "In the difficult economic times we have had over the past year, these donations will really help to support community groups across the UK to fund projects that reach to the heart of their communities."
For individual customers, the Co-operative Bank offers a credit card which gives 1.25p to deserving causes for every £100 spent on the card.
Called Think, the card offers 12.9% APR typical/variable and no annual fee.
