Credit card fraud management company 'offers new technology'
Accertify has developed the technology to detect 'card not present' fraud. It is the first company to focus on this type of transaction.
The new system called Accertify combines fraud management skills with state of the art automation to crack down on credit card fraud.
Accertify offers legal, accounting and business software development skills to help customers to tackle the issue.
It is hoped this will improve the web booking experience for consumers using the technology.
Chris Scodius, vice president of 1800hotels.com who recently employed Accertify, said: "Interceptas provides all the international fraud-fighting tools and components 1800hotels.com needs in a single, integrated system."
According to a survey by ClickandBuy, 41 per cent of regular online shoppers are totally confident that their credit card details are secure when entered online.
Over half of those surveyed who said they do not use the internet for shopping said that this was because they are concerned about the risk of fraud.
