According to the Daily Mail, while many credit card providers will include a handling charge on any purchases made on their credit card while outside the UK, there are some that do not and travellers should make sure they are aware of these.
Among those that charge no fee are the Post Office and Nationwide. With no commission to be paid, this can make a significant difference to the amount a traveller is spending on their credit card while abroad, given that many cards charge over two per cent for overseas transactions.
Furthermore, several only charge small fees for making the transaction while abroad and consumers should ensure they have considered all options before travelling.

The MasterCard ATM Hunter is available to credit card holders across the globe with an Apple iPhone or iPod Touch, meaning they should never be unable to find a cash point.
