Caxton FX: Prepaid MasterCards help travellers avoid Ryanair booking fee
Travellers on the low-cost airline Ryanair will be able to avoid the five euro per person booking fee if they pay with a prepaid Mastercard.
The saving will be available from January 1st 2010, when the current Visa Electron promotion comes to an end.
Managing director of Caxton FX James Hickman commented: "We work hard to remove unnecessary fees and costs and we are delighted, that once again, our prepaid currency cards will deliver cost savings to our customers."
The Ryanair travel offer is just one of the ways prepaid cards can help travellers save money when abroad.
For example, those who use a Caxton FX prepaid card when travelling in Europe and the US are not charged when they use an ATM.
This is unlike many credit cards, which can charge a small fee for ATM transactions. Although these fees can be relatively small, when they add up they can create a significant dent in travelling money.
Caxton FX currency cards are available in euros, dollars or Global Traveller cards.
