Caxton FX: Bank of England's credit easing is affecting the economy

The Bank of England's efforts to ease credit conditions are having an impact on the economy, according to prepaid currency card provider Caxton FX.

Duncan Higgins, senior analyst at Caxton FX, said the pound is likely to stay at a similar value against the euro.

He added that the pound could lose more ground against the US dollar, particularly if news tomorrow reveals further improvements in the US labour market.

These comments could prove useful to travellers planning a trip to Europe or the US in the future.

Using a prepaid currency card, it is possible to lock into currencies when it is most advantageous to travellers, so those planning a trip abroad may want to consider currency rates ahead of time.

The Caxton prepaid currency card can save holders money on currency exchange.

It works in much the same way as a traditional debit or credit card, except it must be preloaded before it can be used.
