Brits planning to go away to enjoy the last bank holiday before Christmas should make sure they are spending their money wisely, according to advice from credit card provider Abbey.
It recommends the Abbey reward bank account, which for a monthly fee of £10, gives users card loss assistance, as well as other advantages.
The card loss assistance provides help with cancelling credit cards or other types of card.
If the credit card has been stolen, Abbey will ask the card issuer to send replacement, and offers account holders access to emergency cash if necessary.
The comments come as Abbey reward bank account reveals the results of a survey about ideal holiday companions.
According to the research, half a million Brits would choose a work colleague as the ideal person to go on holiday with.
The most desirable trait in a holiday companion was found to be a laid back attitude, and 79 per cent of those asked said the biggest irritant was someone who is moaning all the time.
Meanwhile, according to holiday specialist GoLearnTo.com, 85 per cent of travelers over 50 travel solo and find active holidays the ideal way to meet like-minded people.
