Barclaycard Platinum credit card holders will benefit from a reduction in its balance transfer fee from today.
The fee has been reduced to 2.5% of the amount transferred from 3%.
As a result of the reduction, which is being offered for the next 12 months, customers will save £25 on a £5,000 balance transfer to Barclaycard Platinum.
Earlier this year, Barclaycard also announced that it would be reducing the APR on the Platinum card from 14.9% to 12.4%.
Amer Sajed, managing director of Barclaycard UK, said: "This reduction will mean customers looking to move their balance now have to pay less to get a market leading deal."
Barclaycard reported that in February this year it had 11.7 million customers in the UK.
The Barclaycard Platinum card offers 0% interest on balance transfers for 12 months from opening an account, with a 2.5% handling fee.
It offers contactless payment technology which provides a new quick way to pay for purchases with a value under £10.
