American Express is returning to New York City's Tribeca Film Festival this year as one of the event's main sponsors.
The credit card provider signed a five-year deal last year, but concerns were raised after other key sponsors pulled out of the starry event in the wake of the economic downturn, reports Variety.
Among these was Cadillac - a unit of the troubled General Motors - and retail giant Target.
They have been replaced by Heineken and DirecTV, while drinks company Snapple joins American Express in returning to the event.
The latter is no stranger to film affiliations - its advertisement during the US broadcast of the 2009 Oscar ceremony featured Dave Matthews, Tina Turner and Gwyneth Paltrow among other celebrities and received a thumbs-up from the advertising world.
Tribeca kicks off with Woody Allen's Whatever Works on April 22nd and runs until May 3rd.
