America Express' advertisement shown during the US broadcast of the 2009 Oscar ceremony has received the thumbs-up.
Featuring Dave Matthews, Tina Turner and Gwyneth Paltrow among other celebrities, the marketing snippet was commented on by Scott G of the Advertising Industry Newswire.
It said despite many companies showing off uninspiring commercials during the breaks of the Oscar ceremony, American Express' campaign was among the best.
According to Mr G, using famous faces is an approach that can work really well in marketing campaigns.
In the UK, one of the brand's most well-known advertisements may be the Traveller's Cheque items featuring TV presenter Alan Whicker.
Other celebrities in ads for the company have included Jerry Seinfeld, Jose Mourinho, Martin Scorsese and tennis champions Venus and Serena Williams.
Meanwhile, recent research undertaken by American Express found that some Brits are planning to cut back or reduce their expenditure on certain types of insurance.
A total of 24% said they would stop buying travel insurance and 17% do not plan to continue their pet cover.
