AA reward credit card 'could save consumers money at the pump'
A new reward credit card from AA could save consumers money on petrol, according to AA Financial Services.
The AA credit card offers double reward points on fuel purchases, even from supermarkets, the vehicle agency notes.
AA members can gain even more by using the card as they earn twice as many points as non-members when using the AA credit card, and can use points to take 1% cash back on fuel purchased on the card.
AA Financial Services notes this deal could be particularly valuable as it has been reported fuel prices could pass £5 per gallon before Christmas.
Mark Huggins, director of AA Financial Services commented: "We can do little to control the price of petrol and diesel but we urge drivers to keep their eyes open for the cheapest pump prices which are often supermarkets."
The typical variable rate on the credit card is 16.9% APR variable.
Credit card holders can also enjoy 0% on balance transfers until December 2010, with a 2.99% fee, if balances are transferred within the first 90 days of the account opening.
